What is an emerging Artist?

Definition:

Emerging artists are often described as young artists or recent graduates but this label isn't necessarily synonymous with being younger or inexperienced. Rather it describes an artist who is at the beginning of their career — irrespective of their age

My Experience as an Emerging Artist

Making art can feel  like riding a tsunami wave, water foams and boils.

the horizon moves, left, right, far away, up close.

Occasionally I sink, only to rise to the surface again kicking harder, taking a big breath and pushing on to find my own “freestyle and rhythm”.

Focusing, listening, looking, sensing, riding emotions, every so often I stop, float and breath.

I question why? Why am I pursuing this?   I am beginning understand my why,  I observe my growing determination, curiosity, boldness  and strength.

I am conctantly learning as I push through the endless current of creative force.

It's integral part of me.   Where I go, it goes, where I look it looks.     We are inseparable.

This requires discipline, energy and focus but it is my “must” my me, and who I am.
